Bradley Scott Malone — Shades of Indigo

Americana Highways is housing this premiere of Bradley Scott Malone’s EP Shades of Indigo, due to be released on August 13. Shades of Indigo was produced by Bob McCutcheon.

Musicians on the album are Malone on rhythm and lead guitar and vocals; Dan Barrett on drums;
Mark Joy on bass; Robert Smith, Jr. on dobro; Krystyn Brooke-Houck on fiddle; and Jason Dunkle on pedal steel guitar.

Bradley Scott Malone has one of those soaring golden country voices. As his songs range over a depiction of someone returning from Afghanistan, through love songs and freckles to an analysis of a criminal Cinderella, Malone is the real deal as a songwriter. Already at the title, the easy feel of “Freckles” comes through. “My Name is Neville” chronicles the complexities of this hard life with fiddle: “My name is Neville, write it down.” Give him a listen, we think you’ll enjoy it immensely.

“Shades of Indigo” is a retro-style songwriter folk EP that spans from 1970s childhood memories, to troubled relationships, substance abuse and contains my heartfelt tributes to those who have served in our armed forces. — Bradley Scott Malone
