New Vault Records Releases in 2020
The Vault Records continues to support local artist through our record label activity. Our artist portfolio continued to grow in 2020 with the addition of new artist Royal Honey, Slam Band and Sam, Melina Bowser and Brad Malone.
Waiting on You
Melina Bowser
Melina Bowser is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her second full length album, “Crazy Ideas”, was released in early 2019. Shortly after, she won the Woman Who Rock Rising Star Competition in Pittsburgh, where she had the opportunity to record one song at The Vault with 6-time Grammy winning producer Jimmy Hoyson and perform live at Stage AE with headliner Sheila E. Her song, entitled “Waiting on You” was released in January 2020.
Coffee in the morning
Chris Jamison
Chris Jamison merges vocal harmony with family values in his latest single release, Coffee in the Morning. The song discusses the difficulties of life, and they everyday chaos we all know too well. But there’s a powerful silver lining – that the simplest moments in life, like sharing a cup of coffee, can have the greatest impact was release in October 2020.
Jimi Was
Slam Band and Sam
The Pittsburgh-based five-piece is made up of Adam Vasko, Anthony Bello, Mark Jackovic, Mark Ondrey, and Nick Bello – five musicians with a vast and storied musical background. Fusing together elements of rock, jazz, and funk, Slam Band and Sam’s modus operandi is one of layered simplicity – one that puts music and the compositional process wholly first. They released their debut single “Jimi Was” in June 2020.
My Name is Neville
Bradley Scott Malone
With both feet firmly planted in the early singer/songwriter era of American folk music, Bradley Scott Malone is a folk/Americana singer-songwriter who blends rich storytelling with lofty and melodic guitar work heavily influenced by the late Maury Muehleisen. Brad is quietly carrying the torch of the Pete Seeger-Harry Chapin-Jim Croce style, story-telling folk singer to current generations. His song “My Name is Neville (Write It Down)” is a tribute to those who have served our country. It was relased on Veterans Day 2020.

The Vault Trio
A Pittsburgh-based Trio, Brett McCutcheon (Piano and Saxophone), Luke Wood (Guitar and Bass) and Sophia Elliott (Drums) have been classmates and band mates at North Allegheny Senior High School for several years. Frequently performing together they decided to expand into studio recording with their first EP in December 2019. Follow that debut in 2019, they again released an interpretation of “Fibbage 3” from the Jack Box games in December 2020.
SOS 2020
Local area musicians record original song “SOS 2020” (Save Our Stages 2020) to raise awareness, money and incite action all to benefit Pittsburgh music venues affected by the Pandemic.
SOS 2020 was written by Eric Rodger (Royal Honey), Produced by Anthony (Rocky) Lamonde (The Borstal Boys) and recorded and mixed by Bob McCutcheon at The Vault Recording Studio, the project quickly grew to include more than 27 local bands and more than 60 artists. It is an all-star line-up of local musicians recorded over several weeks (with members from Rusted Root, The Granati Brothers, A Common Crown and the Legendary Hucklebucks).
